Q: What is your favorite topic to write about for your blog?
A: I don’t think I necessarily have a favorite because I really do enjoy writing all of these posts in general. But I would say that writing about fashion and style comes most naturally to me! I’ve always been so interested in fashion and I love to put together outfits. That makes it really easy to come up with new ideas. Growing up I always had all my friends over trying on and borrowing my clothes all the time lol.
Q: Could you suggest some black winter coats that aren’t really expensive?
A: I got a Michael Kors one for a really great price at TJMaxx not too long ago, but it’s not on their website. Here, here, here, and here are similar ones! I also really love this one, this one, and this one for a few different styles.
Q: What’s the best gift you ever received/given?
A: Oooo this is a really good one! I will never forget as a kid my sister and I got to open a Christmas present together (it was addressed to both of us.) It was filled with towels and sunscreen, and it had a note on the bottom telling us to go pack our bags because we were leaving at 5:00 the next morning for Florida! It was so much fun and we felt like we were in that Mary Kate and Ashley movie Holiday in the Sun lol. And Naz is like the greatest gift giver of all time so I could go on forever about that haha. He always has surprises up his sleeve!
I think the best gift I ever gave was in high school I got my best friend tickets to a Beyonce concert and we had such a blast! I also think the senior night gift I made for Naz in college was pretty cool! There was SO much time and effort spent on that so I have to pat myself on the back lol. (And my family – it was a group effort definitely!)
We used a real basketball hoop that of course didn’t fit inside the shadow box. (Yes this thing is super heavy lol.) My dad used a saw to cut out part of the mount so the glass could fit back on the front. The basketball is also real so I had to cut that apart to fit as well. Plus creating that collage took quite a while! I think the lady at Walgreens where I printed everything thought I was a psycho lol. I’ll put a picture below for anyone who doesn’t know what I’m talking about.
Q: You always mention being cold and I have the same problem in my office, do you have sweater suggestions to keep at work for when I get cold?
A: The struggle is so real lol. This one, this one, and this one would all be great to go with almost any outfit!! Not sure what your dress code is like but hopefully these will be helpful!
Q: What do you use to curl your hair?
A: I always use a wand! I can’t seem to function to use the clamp on a regular curling iron lol. I’m sure if I practiced I could figure it out but it’s much easier and faster for me to wrap it around a wand! I have a couple different sizes but they both have a conical barrel! 1.5in-1in for larger curls or 1in-0.5in for smaller. They’re both Remington brand from Target haha. Nothing super fancy!
Q: I see a Louis Vuitton bag in some of your posts, how did you choose which one to get?
A: I got it as a gift but I did get to give some input before hand lol. I really didn’t know much about designer bags when I picked it out…I still don’t, I just know what I think is cute! Haha I knew wanted a tote so I could fit plenty in it, and I Loved the red lining so I just kinda rolled with that!
Q: What kind of camera do you use?
A: I have a Sony Alpha a5000 with a 16-50mm lens. I took a photography class in college so I always shoot on manual, and I think having the right settings makes a huge difference! You can learn pretty quickly how to do that on YouTube and I would say that is definitely worth your time if you’re trying to shoot nice photos.
