10 Things I Can't Live Without - Ice Cream and Comfies

I feel like I’m always saying, “If you know me personally, you know…” so I thought I would share some things I can’t live without for everyone to be in on! It’s funny to think about the material things you value so much and how they differ from everyone around you.

For instance, I’m certain orange juice, basketball, and Sour Patch Kids would be on Naz’s list.

And me of course, lol 😉

Anyways, here’s a list of ten things I can’t live without!

1. Laptop

This blog wouldn’t exist without it! Also it’s how I do my job, so I guess that’s important too haha. Seriously though, I spend a ridiculous amount of time on my laptop everyday.

Not so funny story…I just recently got a new laptop actually. I had the 2014 version of the 13 inch MacBook Pro all throughout college, but about a month or so ago I accidentally spilled an entire thermos of chicken broth in my purse…of course my laptop, both of my cameras, my phone, all of my chargers, and my iPad were all in there swimming around.

I had just gotten my wisdom teeth out a few days prior, and I was going out to lunch with a friend to help her with some wedding planning.

Well, I couldn’t eat solid foods yet so I had a little bag packed of chicken broth, pudding, applesauce, yogurt, etc. Needless to say the bag of liquids in the purse with all the electronics wasn’t my greatest idea. Fortunately/unfortunately, everything survived except for my laptop.

Anyways, now I have the newest 15 inch MacBook Pro with the touch bar and I am OBSESSED! And here is the case I have on it right now in pink.

2. Dogs

I Love dogs you guys. Obviously I’m obsessed with Calli, you know that already.

But I Love every dog. I’m that crazy person that will stop every dog I see to say Hi and pet them. I am not sorry.

3. Mascara

I’m naturally blonde; therefore, my eyelashes are VERY light.

So without a bit of mascara you can’t really see them at all. My two favorites are Colossal by Maybelline and Better Than Sex by Too Faced.

Since I think everyone loves a clean face at the end of the day, my favorite makeup remover is the make up wipes by Neutrogena.

4. Dry Shampoo

I used to wash, dry, and either straighten or curl my hair every single day. My hair would never grow and it was so unhealthy.

I could never understand the people who could go multiple days without washing, because I felt like my hair would starting to look greasy by the end of the first day. I finally forced myself to wash every other day and stop using heat whenever possible, and I’ve noticed a huge improvement in my hair overall.

That being said, dry shampoo is my best friend, because now I only wash every couple days. (I still shower everyday, don’t question my hygiene!!!)

I Love Clean Freak by Not Your Mothers, because it comes out like more powdery if that makes sense. Some that I’ve tried before spray out wet and make my hair look terrible, so this works best for my hair!

The original scent is my favorite because it smells fresh, but I’ve also used the vanilla and it‘s great too!

5. Coffee/Tea

If you could see the number of boxes of tea I typically keep in my pantry you’d probably give me a big ole eye brow raise and say “you’ve got to be kidding me.”

I like green tea, black tea, herbal tea, caffeinated, decaf, you name it, I probably like it and more than likely have it in my cabinet lol.

Coffee. Coffee. Coffee. I don’t drink it every day, but it’s definitely the go to when I need a pick me up. Duh, I think that goes for absolutely everyone haha. I like mine with just a splash of skim milk! Or black if I haven’t been to the store in a while lol.

6. Peanut Butter

I don’t think anyone in the world Loves peanut butter more than Calli. She can smell it the second I take the lid off the jar whether its for her or not!

However, I think I’m a close second! If I go more than like two days without eating peanut butter on something it’s a miracle. I eat creamy PB like it’s my job.

7. Comfies

Again, I think everyone can agree that cozy clothes are an absolute must! There is nothing better than coming home and changing into some comfies and having a glass of wine or a hot cup of tea depending on how the day has been.

Or wearing your comfies all day like me if you work from home haha. I do this all too often. I think Naz is shocked anytime he comes home and I’m actually dressed for the day.

Some of my favorites are pictured throughout this post! The shorts are so comfy, but unfortunately they’re sold out online right now. They’re from Target though and the brand is Love and Cherish, so next time you make one of those trips to target for one thing and end up with a cart load…check in the jammies section for these.

The top is also from target and if you can’t find it in the store to pile on top of your cart, it is available online!

I also Love these joggers, these shorts, this hoodie, and this sweater.

8. Family

This is obvious so I won’t elaborate too much, but the fam definitely deserves a spot here. My family is my biggest support system and I could not possibly be more thankful for them every single day.

Also, could not possibly miss them more.

9. Ice Cream

Ice cream is my absolute favorite dessert. Thanks dad lol.

I could never get sick of it and I like every single flavor I think I’ve ever tried. My favorite ice cream place is Whitey’s in my hometown.

They have a sign on the wall that says “You never see a sad person with an ice cream cone.” Which is SO true! Ice cream brings a smile to everyone’s face!

Unless you’re my sister, then it sends you to the hospital haha. She has a severe milk allergy.

10. Moisturizer

I’ve had skin problems for as long as I can remember. I dealt with acne with dry and oily skin, but I’ve finally figured out a routine that works well for me. I’ll do a post on that sometime but for now we’re focusing on moisturizer because it’s a lifesaver!

I use Eucerin Advanced Repair lotion as my moisturizer in the morning and before bed. It leaves my skin so soft, and it goes on light which I Love. (I know this is typically used for Eczema, which I don’t have but I use and Love it anyways!)

Make sure you get the Advanced Repair if you’re going to give it a try though. I’ve tried original and a few others and I hated all of them!

Big News!

I’m so excited to share with you all that I’m going to start posting more frequently! I can’t say exactly how many times a week because it’s going to depend on my workload and schedule.

All I can guarantee is that there will be more, and I couldn’t be more excited about it!

With that being said, I’m also offering an option to receive New Post Notifications via email for anyone who wants to know when my new posts go up. They will no longer only be on Mondays (lol I know I’m never on time guys, when it comes to anything! – Today is Tuesday I’m aware haha), so I thought this would be the best way to ensure everyone who wants to know can be personally notified! You can sign up for that at the end of this post if you so choose!

I hope you guys are just as excited as I am!

  1. Love your post once again. I love the picture of you and Calli cuddling. She definitely loves her momma. What a sweetheart she is. I will have to try that mascara and also the moisturizer. Sounds like a good one. My legs and feet always get so dry in the winter and so that Eucerin moisturizer sounds like it just may do the trick. You and Naz take care and until next time…….

Thank you so much Miriam! Calli is such a sweetheart, we love her so much! Yes both of those products are amazing and I bet the Eucerin will help with the wintery dry skin! Thank you and take care as always! 💕

  2. So many of these things you listed I could have wrote myself! I have Blonde hair/eyelashes and won’t leave the house without my better than sex mascara.. I too used to always wash/dry/straighten everyday and my hair wouldn’t grow either so I also forced myself to give up the heat when possible and am slowly getting into washing my hair less and using dry shampoo more! And then I couldn’t agree more about moisturizing! I have struggled with skin problems as well but my skin has never looked better since I started prioritizing moisturizer! (I use an eczema lotion too even though I don’t have eczema)
Wow that was a lot but couldn’t leave without mentioning it all- I love the blogging world and finding people similar to yourself 🙂

I am originally from Moline so when you mentioned Whiteys ice cream I totally agree.. Everytime I go back to visit my family I always have to make a stop at Whiteys. I also have been
trying to not use heat on my hair as much and not wash everyday. It is a work in progress. Thanks for posting.

Our family loves seeing new pics of the pup, and of course you and Naz!
