I hope you all had a great New Years Eve and aren’t in rough shape today lol.
We had a pretty low key night here, although my grandma did show me how she learned to floss…LOL
I have to start out by telling everyone to run to Nordstrom’s website and grab this sweater I’m wearing before they’re gone! I Love it SO much, I ordered the black one as soon as I tried this on and they’re on sale for only $15! It’s super soft and more tunic length when it’s not tucked in and will be perfect to wear with leggings! I’m wearing my usual small!
Anywho, happy first day of 2019! Today marks the first day of a year of opportunity that lies ahead. What will you do with it?
What do you want to accomplish this year?
I’m not big on resolutions because it’s very rare that anyone actually keeps them. I think it’s more appropriate to set goals for the year, and plan out how you will achieve them.
That way you don’t start out the year saying, “My New Years Resolution is to lose weight this year!” And then loaf on the couch until you say the same thing come next year. You need a plan! Making an effort to map out how and when you will achieve your goals will make a HUGE difference on what it looks like when you peek back at your year next December.
Also, write them down.
Write your goals down and keep them in a place where you will see them often. I have a stickie that sits on my desktop of my laptop that has my goals written on it. I see them every time I open my computer. When you write something down and see it every single day, it stands as a daily reminder that it’s something you want for yourself.
It’s a promise you made to yourself at the beginning of the year, and I’m sure there is a reason for it. Write down your goal, and think of the reason every time you see it.
Lastly, tell people. This is by far the hardest part, but it’s also probably the most important and effective. When you tell someone your goals, it’ll make you hold yourself accountable. Better yet, ask someone to hold you accountable too. Even if they never say anything to you about it, you know that they know. Trust me this is a game changer!
I told my parents and Naz my goals this morning, and it was a little frightening. They’re big goals. But they’re achievable because I want it. And they’re important in making strides towards what I want in life.
Now, everyone sit down and take 10 minutes to write down your goals for this year. Then go tell someone. It can even be me if you want, shoot me an email! And then sign up for my email list below.
I’m starting something this year that I’m very excited about…a monthly newsletter!!! They will reach your inbox on the first of every month, and cover a variety of things. You’ll see things I Loved most from the previous month, the best deals, fun things I did and recommend, and I’ll be checking in on your goals.
The last part will be an accountability thing for myself too, because I’ll be filling you all in on the status of my goals as well. But I’m really excited to share all kinds of awesome, exclusive things with you guys that let me into your inbox!
The very first newsletter will go out tomorrow – I cannot wait!!! I’ll be sharing my 2019 goals with all of you in that first newsletter, and will update you and hold you accountable as the year goes on! Also, I have some really cute, major sale stuff coming to you in that tomorrow!
Cheers to an exciting year ahead, make it everything you want!
